In August 2016 I moved with my family to Merion, PA because my wife (who grew up in Bala Cynwyd) had the opportunity to return to school in Philadelphia.  Previously I have run my own contracting business since 2000 in the Manchester, VT area.  I have worked on all types of projects, and depending on the job I will either do it myself or work with a small crew.

I started working with my dad, a painting contractor, in the summers when I was fourteen.  When I was older I worked for several area contractors and learned carpentry from some of the local masters.  By working for multiple contractors I learned several methods to get the same job done.

My favorite jobs are renovations and additions where I enjoy the challenge of blending the new work with the old.  When I am finished with your project, your neighbors will notice that something is different but they won’t know exactly what the changes are.  I am a problem solver and a creative spacial thinker by nature.  I like to close my eyes and visualize the completed project before I start. I can design and draft plans or work with a designer of your choice.

I get tremendous satisfaction out of doing a job well,  and I believe in quality craftsmanship using quality materials.  I am a non-smoker, and a thorough clean-up is part of my job – I like to leave a site cleaner than I found it.
